The IDSD serves as a tool for measuring competitiveness at the provincial and regency/city levels, aimed at reflecting regional productivity. The 2023 measurement adopts the conceptual framework and methodology of the Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) 2019 from the World Economic Forum (WEF), which consists of four key components of competitiveness: enabling environment, human resources, markets, and innovation ecosystem.

The Report on Indonesia’s Digital Transformation aims to offer an overview of efforts in Industry 4.0, digital agriculture, and clean technology, while also providing input for the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN). It seeks to guide strategic planning for sustainable and inclusive digital growth.

The IDSD 2022 uses a new conceptual and measurement approach by adopting the Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) 2019 framework from the World Economic Forum, tailored to the regional context of Indonesia. Through this framework, the IDSD 2022 is aligned with the GCI, enabling global stakeholders to utilize it as a tool for measuring Indonesia’s GCI performance.
